Midwest Senior Photography on a hot summer day!

The weather sure has been face meltingly hot this week huh? Makes me want to go to the swimming pool! luckily we have a fair ac unit at Thomsen Photography so we are able to keep cool when we are in a shoot. Midwest Wedding Photographers find two young people in love!

Things were going along at Thomsen Photography's Studio on the square in Eagleville, Northwest Missouri right smack in the heartland of the Midwest, when all of a sudden, Autumn told Allen to put up his GI joe and clean up his playdoe mess because a young couple were coming to get photo's made for their engagement. Allen quickly untied the GI Joe he had just tied to the ceiling fan and scrambled to get ready! In walks Quentin and Jessie... A young couple in true love. Seniors in Iowa and Missouri must be the coolest seniors in the Midwest !

Well, it was another cloudy rainy day in Eagleville today. My thoughts and prayers go out to those farmers needing a break from it. However, some good things happened today at Thomsen Photography. May we happily present to you our Senior class Spokes model for Leon Iowa, Brodi Applegate. Brodi is... well, how can i put this...MadWhack cool... She can sing she can dance she can rap about sailing boats and tending your garden with a hoe. (inside joke there) And just a nice young lady as well. Thank you Brodi for not punching Allen!

Missouri / Iowa Photographers Go out in the sun!

We were out on a photoshoot and things were going good. Then Allen had one of his...Idea's... Strangely enough Autumn just rolls with Allens Ideas during photo shoots. Which simply is NOT the case ANY other time. Like the time he had the Idea to paper mache the snow man... Yeah He's got some issues... anyway back to the photoshoot! They went with this angle and everything turned out pretty cool!

Midwest Photographers Photograph FFA President

Midwest Senior Photographers get suprise!

Well here's how it went down.

Allen was watering the freshly seeded lawn at Thomsen Photography's new studio. After spraying himself in the face seventeen times in a row he figured out to turn the spray nozzle AWAY from himself and TOWARD the ground. Well, Autumn came out to tell him she'd just received a phone call from a young lady from Princeton. She helped him untangle himself from the garden hose and walked him into the studio. It wasn't long until Jill showed up with her mother and had a look around the place. After seeing that even though Allen appeared a little on the ...ummm... slow... side, The photo's they showed were honestly professional work. As it turned out, Jill decided to show Allen pity and become Thomsen Photography's Spokes model for the Princeton Area.

Midwest Wedding and Senior Photographer says... Dude I'm Getting another DELL

Ok, so here's the story... On June 20th 2008 We purchased two DeLL laptops. They work great like prolly most laptops do. No Biggy, you buy a laptop from whatever company... it's supposed to work... it does work. Well, this past storm system not only dumped more rain and kept farmers out of the field ...again... it also sent a lightning bolt our way that fried some fuses and light bulbs and ...The power adapter on my (allens) Dell laptop. Having dealt alot with poor customer care from assorted companies I assumed I was in for a long miserable day dealing with India's finest call center workers. Things didn't go wrong today! I called the Dell 800 number jumped through a couple of automated hoops and boom was on the line with a support person (yep you guessed it...India call center person with that cool accent) I gave them my info and told them what happened and....boom... the replacement is in the mail and on the way here!
Yeah I know!!! I couldn't believe things went so smooth! The folks at Dell must have told the people they contracted to take care of customer service to do what was right for real real!
No run around, no bull, just "We'll get you the replacement power adapter ASAP. It's amazing the power in doing the right thing by your customer! If we stay with PC computer systems... Dude we are getting a DeLL !

So here we were just minding our own business. Autumn was working on some graphic design, Allen was trying to figure out how to count to purple or something(were not really sure what Allen does)shhh... anyway, enter Brittany York; A beautiful young lady who will walk the halls at South Harrison as a Senior this coming School season.
Well, Autumn sprang into action while Allen looked around with a sort of dazed look on his face until finally Autumn told him it was time to make photo's...(Allen smiled cause he knew it was the one thing he could actually do right) Brittany was wonderful to work with. Such a photogenic person is a photographers dream. Plus she seriously LOVED Allen's fully awesome jokes!
Honestly though, Thank you so much for working with us Brittany. You are truly a wonderful young lady. We are sincerely happy to have the opportunity to make your senior photographs!
