I woke up this morning to the sound of children scrambling to get ready for school (5 kids, one bathroom). Yeah, it is hard to do but they work it out. As I listened to the excited conversation of each of them telling Autumn the plans for the day and the things they'd each be doing, I had to smile to myself. I remember those days. As The got off to school and Autumn and made ourselves ready for the day at the studio, I started to think of my own schedule and what would be going on today with editing, photo shoots, and Web updating. As I sipped my first cup of coffee I remembered that yesterday late afternoon we had a wonderful treat. Jim and Marylou White and their son Jeff stopped in to get some photo's made. They also brought in this masterpiece wood carving. When they told me the story, that THEY had made this, I just couldn't stop looking and noticing the details! This was a work of art above and beyond the norm. I am no expert, but my sis does teach art at the University of Nebraska and this is truly a stunning piece. As it turns out Jim and Marylou create many wood carvings. Focusing primarily on Santa Clause carvings around Christmas time. Each year a different limited edition with it's own theme. Autumn and I had no Idea these great folks not only work in the banking industry but also provide folks with original one of a kind wood carvings of such high caliber! Thanks for letting us take photo's of this wonderful piece Jim and Marylou! We will let you explain the nameplate on the bottom of it!
